I was an ex-employee, thinking of rejoining since I'm comfortable with the environment and the people. But the lowballing from HR makes me regret that decision. Previously, I left because I felt the compensation was a bit low and it was hard to get a promotion.

My thought process was that my new experience outside the company, plus my existing experience in Infineon, would somehow reflect in the offer. But nope, it felt like I was begging for the job.

I regret hoping that it would be different this time. One thing that was a bit weird to me is the HR personnel gave the offer through SMS using a personal mobile number.

On the other hand, the interview session with the hiring manager was positive. We talked about my past responsibilities in Infineon, how the current work model is, long-term growth for the new job role, etc.
