Infineon as a whole is a decent company with a decent pay package.
Specifically, the group related to IoT (WiFi) is quite toxic, with poor leadership and project planning. Managers without adequate or even basic people management skills are running teams. They humiliate employees and treat them very badly. Almost all the contributors are demotivated, and questioning leaders leads to immediate retaliation. In all my 20 years of work experience, this is the worst; I have never experienced such a toxic workspace, and this sentiment is shared by almost everyone I speak to privately. A team such as this cannot make world-class products.
Managers should understand how to treat employees such that they get the best of the team. This type of leadership is doomed to fail in the long term.
Had to go through two interviews. First interview with the hiring manager and director. Second interview with the Technical director & head of unit processing. Interview duration was one hour for each session.
Reached out by the recruiter and forwarded the CV to the company. There are 3 rounds of technical interview, about 45 minutes each. The interviewers were very nice and patient. The questions focused on the projects I've done.
Focus on work experience and technical issues, detailing how they were systematically addressed. I was asked about management skills and how I handle multiple engineers. It was a very detailed discussion on how issues were addressed.
