Software Engineer Interview Experience - Toronto, Ontario

July 1, 2025
Neutral ExperienceNo Offer

Process

The interview consisted of:

  • Two rounds of 60-minute coding sessions.
  • A 1-hour break.
  • A 45-minute behavioral round.
  • A 60-minute system design round, which was described as easy.

The questions were generally straightforward and easy. The first coding round involved parsing through dictionaries, while the second round incorporated data structures. I was unable to finish the second part of the second coding round.

The behavioral interviewer had a dull personality, which somewhat killed the vibe. Despite performing well in all other rounds, I did not receive an offer.

Based on discussions on Reddit, it appears many candidates have had a similar experience and were surprised not to receive an offer. Therefore, I am unsure if this interview process is worth your time.
