Compiler Engineer Interview Experience - San Jose, California

Process

There was a phone screen by the hiring manager, followed by an onsite interview.

I had applied online for an internship but was called months later for a full-time position.

The position required extensive compiler knowledge, but I had very basic knowledge.

They were friendly people, and the interview was mostly around my compiler experience.

There was also a product design question on databases, which was very surprising.

Other than that, there were just resume and project-related questions.

The process was prompt in terms of timelines.

Overall, it was a nice experience.
