Engineer Interview Experience - Folsom, California

Process

I applied online, and one day I received an email from a team member requesting a phone interview (for a different position). We scheduled it for two days later.

It was good; the interviewer was very friendly and spoke very nicely. He asked me simple questions and a few algorithmic questions (because I put on my resume that I was a TA for algorithms).

I was very nervous because it was my first interview, and with such a good company. So, I couldn't answer properly.

Anyway, be prepared for some basics, including some debugging basics and questions on your resume.

Questions

Given n names of people and their phone numbers, tell me the best way to store them.

Tell me a little about yourself.

Write a function to see how many bits are set in an integer.

What is the difference between a debug build and a release build? How would you know an intermediate value in a release build?

Was this helpful?
