Principal Software Engineer Interview Experience - Costa Rica, Costa Rica

Process

I successfully completed all interview stages at Intel for the Software Development Engineer (JR0269659) position. The process was challenging but well-structured, and I was ultimately offered the job.

After signing the contract, I informed other potential employers that I was no longer available, expecting to start in two weeks as Intel had communicated.

However, just before my start date, Intel rescinded my offer, citing "business conditions have changed." This left me without a job, as I had already declined other opportunities based on their commitment. The way this was handled was extremely unprofessional, with no prior warning or alternative options provided.

I understand that businesses face challenges, but rescinding an already signed job offer after onboarding discussions is highly irresponsible. Candidates deserve transparency and respect, as these decisions have real-life consequences.

I strongly advise others to be cautious when considering an offer from Intel, as they may not honor their commitments.
