For the new grad position, I had two technical interviews (on-campus, same day) followed by an on-site interview.

The on-site interview, in my situation, was primarily to discuss with hiring managers about their team's responsibilities. Overall, there was a healthy balance of behavioral and technical questions.

Pros: Where else can you run gobs of simulations and not run out of CAD licenses? Intel is well equipped with respect to engineering compute (and CAD resources). There is a lot of project documentation to learn from, albeit difficult to find sometimes. Many senior engineers will take time to educate, mentor, and enable juniors and managers on technical topics.

Cons: There is a gap between reliable individual contributors and 2nd/3rd level managers, versus star contributors who are easily identified. People need to be prepared to take risks and generally have data to back up effort estimates. People need to learn to be productive in the presence of a lot of ambiguity.
