Co-workers are great to work with! GSM, HVM sites, and other organizations for the most part have good and solid managers. Organizations within Intel (HVM sites, GSM, sales, etc.) are for the most part excellent to work for and with. Intel is a great company for the most part, which I have a vast appreciation for.
Other organizations within intel cater far too much to the TD organization, which contributes to their weak performances and results, thus their limited success. A large number of TD management are self-absorbed and arrogant, and thus rarely listen and follow the direction of others. They are difficult to work with for the most part, although they do have some good managers, but they are few and far between.
Management needs to know and understand who your true contributors are and compensate them accordingly. They are the backbone of the corporation, which will lead to success.
Upper management needs to hold TD management accountable for their results and lack thereof. TD management routinely reverts accountability and blame to others, thus not realizing their own shortfalls, which is needed to get them back on the right track.
The first interview was with two managers who would be my managers. They asked me about my work experience and posed detailed technical questions about what I did. The second interview was with the department manager and was rather short.
The interview process was short and straightforward. It covered questions from my resume, focusing on data structures and algorithms. There were also questions regarding the rendering pipeline and DirectX 11. The questions were not overly difficult.
The interviewer was very nice and made us feel comfortable. They asked the questions clearly and gave us enough time to think before answering. They also explained the job well and provided clues about what they were looking for in our answers. Ov
