Pros

Very smart and dynamic people. A great opportunity to learn and develop. A well-known brand name that opens up doors anywhere in the world. Most employees are young and outgoing. Many of my close friends I met through Intel and stayed ever since.

Cons

Large corporation with very intelligent and motivated people, which makes it a bit harder to get ahead and be recognized. Although most employees who do a good job receive some kind of recognition.

Advice to Management

Most managers I encountered are great people with very high skills and knowledge. Most of them are down to earth and very approachable.

I have come to know a few managers who were extremely smart and high performers but lacked any kind of managerial/leadership skills, and I would not have recommended them for management. I would advise to keep a close eye and a thorough review of who you promote to management based on leadership skills as well as technical skills.
