Pros

You can give time to your family as needed.

Cons

The company has laid off more than 40,000 people in just one year. This is unbelievable, but true. As an insider and employee of Intel, I can clearly see that Intel is a sinking ship right now, and there is no way it can come out of that. The company might file bankruptcy anytime in the next year or two.

Compensation and benefits packages are very low, and they stopped raising salaries last year. Only a few people are getting some sort of raise.

Upper management is filled with too many Indian people, as a result, they only prefer to hire more Indians, which is contradictory to the diversity and inclusion culture of the company. Currently, any other company in the USA is doing way better in comparison to Intel.

Advice to Management

All board of directors and the CEO need to be replaced with some proficient people in the semiconductor industry.
