Pros

Overall, it is a great place, and Intel is one beast of a corporation where you have the potential to grow in a very wide variety of areas.

Cons

You have opportunities, but whether they offer real career growth will vary with individuals.

Usually within a TMG environment, you get to see your growth profile reset back to square one when you try to opt for career/expertise widening within the organization, and your commitments are seldom recognized.

More often than not, the talents and skills of pretty smart people are not utilized or noticed properly.

I have worked with a few managers, and once you are stuck with a bad manager, pretty much you are done.

Upper management prefers to stick with versions of managers, and your growth can be stunted by manager-issue-related focal yearly appraisals.

Advice to Management

Cliche - People don't leave because of the job role, but because of the manager.

Management needs to understand that there is a strong reason for a notoriously high attrition rate of employees (at least within TMG) year over year.
