Pros

Good benefits, easier to transition jobs within Intel while maintaining confidentiality. 1-month/2-month sabbatical every 4/7 years.

Intel prioritizes employee health & safety. You can find challenging engineering work if you are motivated to look for it.

Cons

Large company, diluted workload, Pareto effect – 25% of people own 75% of the work. Socialized reward structure; reward variation between high- and low-performing employees is very small.

Advice to Management

Fire low-performing employees regularly. Hold managers accountable for overhiring and keeping people around with little work to do. Redirect the focus of management from social issues/causes to engineering/development/production.
