Colleagues, benefits, and work environment in general.
Very Bad U.S. Management.
In 2016, Intel decided to get rid of people in Germany and simply force them to leave by saying, "We don't need you anymore." This was just to reduce the headcount.
But Germany is not the U.S., and you cannot force "successful" rated people to leave in this way. I decided to leave only because of the big disappointment caused everywhere by this spread atmosphere. Some colleagues sued the company and, although previously fired and accompanied to the door, they are now back at their desks.
Is this what you mean by a Great Place To Work?
Germany is not the U.S.
The interview was very relaxed. There was mutual interest between both parties. Several follow-up emails were exchanged after the interview. Unfortunately, the talks stopped due to a hiring freeze.
Applied online and got an interview. The official process of documentation took more than 2 months to complete. During the interview, they were very friendly. They asked about previous work and experiences. There were no hardcore technical questions.
A telephone interview, an individual meeting with the manager and the HR department. Had some previous contact through another company.
