Pros

Competitive benefits, lots of types of opportunities. You could work for Intel for 40+ years and never be bored.

Technical and management tracks are kept separate, so you can move up without losing your technical skills. Intel employs some of the most iconic leaders in technology development, and you really can go talk to them if you wanted to.

Want to become a USB expert? You can talk to some of the formative people in most technology areas and really get good insight. Besides people being busy, the open-door policy is pretty well respected (if you wanted to chat with a VP, you could simply send them a chat message).

Cons

Very slow to change. Intel tends to throw money at the latest trend, and usually just a hair too late. Even though we are generations ahead of our competitors on raw silicon technology, we are not always the best at applying that to our customer base. If you're software-focused, be prepared to be second-place to shipping silicon. For as big a brand as Intel is, it has serious challenges being "cool" to anyone other than core gamers.

Advice to Management

Intel's brand needs to be able to live inside other software stacks without disrupting them.

Stop making products with user experiences that differ from the rest of the OS (be it Android or Windows).
