Perks and salaries are average for software.
Work/life balance is good for me (but I've heard of departments where it's not).
Management is approachable, but it differs in other departments.
In the first 6 weeks, I was moved to 3 different teams after a bait-and-switch move got me there.
I could not get an answer on the value added to the corporation on any team I was on.
The RCG program didn't seem to hire particularly competent junior engineers who could work independently.
Every 6 months, the projects get cancelled and later resurrected by another team.
The top management can't seem to focus or communicate their aims.
The culture was a bit cultish, consisting of a mix of H1Bs handcuffed by immigration policies and people who had worked there solely for many years and were unaware of the industry in general.
Set your direction actively. Communicate it well. Pivoting doesn't mean thrashing. Assess your assets when your direction isn't working, and build on the good instead of throwing everything away every few months. Note that the CEO's desk is where the buck stops. Stop blaming your failures on your workforce when you can't lead.
It started with a practice question before moving on to a phone screening. All of the questions corresponded almost directly with the job description. I wish I would have done just a little more review on some of the basics of OOP/SQL.
Only one technical interview, of which 4 were technical. The others were a bit more general to assess my behavior and logic on topics related to the position. I took approximately 1 interview per week.
Interview Details Round: Test Experience: Aptitude: Most common concepts, but a little difficult like: 1. Ratio 2. Logical reasoning on encoding words (e.g., Distortion is UWLRQHMWXS, so what does Transistor stand for?) 3. Profit loss%: If sold at
