The work environment is great, and the relationship between colleagues is great. I've made many friends there.
People are more care about technical matters and less about politics, at least in the Opensource Technology Center. I am very proud to work there with these great people and receive recognition for my work. I liked the place very much.
The salary is not competitive with some junior positions, and getting promoted is hard and requires a lot of time. As my first job, I really appreciate Intel, but I am able to find much better work with the skills learned at Intel, compared to the salary there. Even though, I still love this place, where I spent the first 4 years of my career.
Should be more competitive on salary, especially for people who grew up at Intel. Their loyalty is without doubt, but you should still pay them better.
At the very beginning, we had a phone screen. I was asked about what I'd done in the past, then some questions about JavaScript and Java. After that, I got the chance for an on-site interview. During that interview, I was asked something about Apach
The process involved one phone call to ask some basic questions, and one online meeting to ask job-related questions. Neither was very difficult. The first interview was with the technical owner, while the second was with the manager.
There are 6 rounds of 1:1 interviews. The interviewers were engineers from several teams. Each 1:1 interview lasts 30-60 minutes and basically focuses on technical questions.
