HR and senior policy management want everyone to stay in Bangalore, despite you not needing to be in the office.
I don't know what their motive is, but they are okay if you don't come to the office, but not okay if you don't stay in Bangalore.
Politics and people are not ready to share their knowledge easily.
Management shall consider good payment options and policies that help to save tax.
