HR called me and told me that Intuit is the best place to work and they have a fast process. All rounds will be done in one day. I decided to give it a try.
HR sent me a system design question via email and said that the first round would be based on this design in front of all team members. She also suggested I prepare a PPT with the following details:
I prepared the PPT. They scheduled the following rounds in one day:
Here is my experience in all the rounds:
1.) First round: One of the team members rudely asked who told me to prepare the PPT. I was expecting the implementation of the system design as well.
2.) Second round: One of the team members was overconfident and did not listen to my approach. He was very particular about what he wanted to hear and spoke rudely continuously.
3.) Third round: This round was basically on React.js. This person was good and asked logical questions but focused on syntax rather than approach.
4.) Fourth round: This was the hiring manager round. The manager seemed like he was just going through the motions.
Overall, a bad process. There is no point in having all the rounds if you have already decided to reject candidates in the initial rounds.
Don't ask immature people to conduct interviews. Please provide training and technical knowledge to your panel.
Bunch of overconfident people who are not even technically sound.
All useless questions:
Funniest logic from panel: If you design an API with, let's say, user/{userId}, and it converts to user/1234, how will someone understand what 1234 is?
I don't know who this "someone" is, but that someone will see the documentation where {userId} will be mentioned.
