However, I couldn't complete the problem in 90 minutes and ended up taking extra time and a lunch break to wrap some things up. After three hours of back-to-back calls, the last round was the Hiring Manager round.

This round was really bad, as the HM almost mocked me, saying I looked relieved that I could stop coding. In subsequent questions, he mentioned that everyone says they are good, but it's hard to believe me because I couldn't complete the CRUD problem. He questioned if I was expecting someone to help me get things done, as they want someone who is independent and needs no help at all.

Overall, it felt like they didn't like me because I couldn't finish the problem. They also seemed really disappointed during the interview itself, talking to each other that I didn't consider Approach A while I was still working on the problem. This overall hit me badly in terms of how candidates are treated by these big companies and affected my performance in upcoming interviews.

To top it off, the recruiter never replied to my follow-up/thank you email because it looks like I was rejected. I will never know, as they never informed me at all.

Overall, if you are really good at writing an endpoint, persisting data, getting a response for this, and writing a unit test without using AI tools but using Google, you will pass. I would advise focusing just on that if you want to pass.
