I applied through the website and received an email from a recruiter based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to schedule a call. I scheduled the call, but the recruiter did not call.
When I emailed her, she responded after the scheduled time had passed and asked if I was available at that time, without apologizing for not calling.
I replied that I was available, and she still did not call. I tried calling her, and she picked up after multiple attempts.
She spoke in a casual manner, as if nothing had happened earlier. She asked if I was a contractor or an employee in my current position, even though I had mentioned in the application that I am a contractor.
Once I confirmed that I am a contractor, her tone changed. She asked me to describe my experience. As I began to share, within a minute she stopped me, stating that if there was a match, she would get back to me, and then disconnected the call.
Are you a contractor or an employee with your current assignment?
Tell me about your experience.
