Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

After a multi-month process and making it to the final technical interview, there were some technical problems with the Zoom meeting on Intuit's end. This required rescheduling for the next week.

I cancelled a family vacation to accommodate Intuit because I had another offer and wanted to reschedule to the earliest available time. I justified this decision because I had spent so much time studying and preparing/rehearsing a presentation of my portfolio of previous work. I would hate to have had that all go to waste.

On the second attempt, no one showed up to the interview. It was me, alone in the Zoom room, while I reached out to my HR contact to figure out what had happened. My HR contact basically ghosted me and did not respond to my many emails, phone calls, and texts.

After a few days of getting no response, I decided to move forward and accept another offer. An overall incredibly frustrating experience.
