Pros
  • Good work-life balance (I can keep up with the work expected of me and even progress well in my career by doing the standard work hours).
  • Benefits and pay are quite competitive. (The salary may not be as high as a startup, but all the other benefits make this a smart company to work for financially).
  • Continues to grow and change with the times. (This company embraces modern times with more remote-only opportunities and a WFH hybrid model).
Cons

The total compensation is weighted toward stock price. An "A" high stock price means compensation is really good, while it's still close to average for the industry otherwise. It would be nice to find a way to keep this compensation more consistent regardless of stock price.

Depending on the team, good projects for your portfolio and promotion can be harder to get.
