Very strong benefits and pay. Good campuses. Solid coworkers that are great to work with. Resources and encouragement for AI learning.
Lots of top-down performance pressure, with requirements for good performance reviews growing greatly each year. Happy to make things your fault and pushing more days at the office. Likely going to full-time at the office eventually. Pushing everyone to know and use AI systems, even when it doesn't apply to the product. The CEO ignores employee feedback to push an agenda of trying to be more like Google and Amazon. It's a hard sell for any maintenance or testing efforts over feature development or AI feature integration.
Be frank with the team on what performance metrics sit best with the leaders, and try to align work efforts around that.
Phone call, a 4.5-day session including: * A few interviews * Home assignment * Achievement demo * Home assignment demo * Some coding Focus on: * Stronger together values * Customer obsession * Run the business * Architecture *
Had an on-campus interview screening. I liked the hiring process. They asked very basic questions. Then I was called for an interview. The interview went well. I screwed up in some places, but it went well overall.
This was probably the worst interview experience of my 10+ years as a software engineer. It started typically enough with recruiter and tech phone screens. It wasn't until the on-site that the wheels fell off the wagon and into the river downstream f
