Pros

Good perks and benefits. If not on par, equivalent to what Google and its peers offer.

Do provide office cabs.

Few teams still exist who have true WLB.

Cons

In the last 2-3 years, Indian management has been putting so much pressure on managers and engineers, with the expectation to work 24/7. Seriously, I am not at all joking.

Recently, we had a Q&A with Indian leadership. Upon asking about WLB, it was stated, "This is how we are going to operate, and each one of you will see the rigor and have to cope with the work style."

There is too much legacy code and maintenance work, especially in the billing team (formerly named MSE, now called GTM-Tech).

An engineer has to do every task and run from pillar to post to get things done. They won't find much help from peers, as everyone is trying to hold their position and is not comfortable sharing knowledge with colleagues.

There are very few teams and their top managers who still prioritize employee well-being first. However, those are very few in India.

Being a current employee, one recommendation: DON'T EVER PLAN TO JOIN INTUIT BILLING (MSE/GTM Tech Team). Otherwise, you will regret your decision like many of us who have joined the same team.

Advice to Management

We have been asking for WLB and have asked in the Pulse survey as well as in the Q&A Town Hall. We all heard management's viewpoint.

This way of working model won't sustain, and overall company trust among employees would certainly decrease.
