Pros

High compensation, high bonus, high RSUs, great benefits.

Cons

Incredibly long hours, highly political, and no loyalty to long-term employees who drove their $MM growth.

Layoffs based on comp levels to make numbers right before the holidays.

They do not value older workers, even if they say they do.

Internal and external PR engines mask a company that is full of employees with mental health problems.

An incredibly complex, monolithic, 30-year-old technology architecture on the brink of failure.

Advice to Management

Start calculating revenue per employee to make more objective decisions about who to lay off. Hire wisely, lay off less often, and retain your key employees even if they are highly paid. Do not lay off before the holidays. Be a leader in Silicon Valley and address the mental health epidemic in the company.
