Cab, food. That's it. You are a contractor.
Treatment for contractors is the worst. There is no place to sit for contractors here; you have to adjust near some corners.
Differentiating between contractors and FTEs will impact work very badly. The logic of "Unity in work and Diversity in Treatment" won't work. Treat contractors well, and most of the time, they are the real contributors to your projects. They [Intuit] never recognize the work of valuable contractors.
Contractors won't get good laptops (all are second-hand, heavy, old, useless laptops). There are no facilities like FTEs. You never get any help if you are a contractor here.
No recognition for contractors, and they follow the strategy of always FTEs first.
In one cubicle, you will find four FTEs sitting on big tables with all end-to-end comforts, and around them, nearly 10+ contractors are sitting beside them on small chairs. It feels like hell!!
In one word, treatment is not good for contractors compared to FTEs. They see contractors as somewhat 'aliens,' and based upon you as a contractor or FTE, people will give you necessary support.
How will you work with 100% efficiency if there is so much difference in treating contractors?
I don't understand how they rate this as one of the top 10 ITs when contractors don't have a place to sit. If you don't believe my words, ask Intuit to perform an internal vote from both contractors and FTEs, and you will get the truth!! HRs, think on it!!
This is such a huge company, top in ratings, but you guys are forgetting that contractors are more in number. If you are treating them like this, it is impacting the work and quality is compromised. Treat everyone equally and follow the policy of 'Unity in Diversity,' not 'Unity in work and Diversity in Treatment.'
Intuit has all the potential of becoming the No. 1 IT company, but only when they treat all the same. :-)
