I have just completed 3 months here at Intuit, and below are my honest reviews about the company.
Overall, I would say the company has very good policies to support employees at every aspect.
The compensation is also comparable to other good product companies, if not on par.
Key benefits include:
The work-life balance on paper and policy is good, but that is not the reality.
There are too many old code and legacy systems.
A team consists of fewer FTEs and is contractor-heavy. Each FTE is asked to manage multiple tracks with different scrum teams, and eventually, it affects the FTE's work-life balance.
Most of the team has counterpart teams located in the US, and due to this, there are many meetings early in the morning or late at night.
Since it is a contractor-heavy system, I find a lack of bonding among team members.
Overall, my experience in the first few months has not been that good.
I'm not sure, but it looks like permanent WFH is going to end soon, and Intuit may ask employees to come to the office for a few days a week as a hybrid working model.
Please ensure the work-life balance is maintained for each individual.
New members should get a good amount of time to settle in. This should be clearly communicated to the individual's manager by the HR team.
Set up a system for bi-weekly/monthly one-on-one discussions between the individual and the HR team for at least the first six months to understand the pain points of new joiners.
We have a very good policy to take care of every individual's work-life balance, but please add some checkpoint systems to ensure that.
I took the screening test. It was not clear what type of discussion would be there or what type of questions would be asked. I found mixed reviews on the internet. The HR representative explained the process well.
Phone screening followed by face-to-face interviews. Two rounds of phone screening. Six rounds of face-to-face interviews. Focus on Java programming, test plan, and strategy for a live problem. More focus on analytical and logical thinking.
Well-organized, easy to get information. The Job Description was shared upfront, and interviews were set up in advance. Panels were co-ordinated, and no repeat questions were asked. The process is efficient, and timely communication was given.
