Process

I applied through another source.

The interview process was super long. I had 4 phone screen interviews with various tasks. Nothing super hard. Then had the onsite with 5 interviews.

Some of the questions at the on-site were pretty clear. Basic technical stuff, either you know it or you don't, but some were more behavioral and sometimes very subjective. They'd give me an impossible scenario (technically impossible, computers just don't work that way) and asked what decision I'd make, obviously trying to back me into a corner. I'm not sure there's a right/wrong answer to these, so I just tried to be as pragmatic as possible.

Got a rejection with no motive, but I heard through the grapevine that they couldn't decide if I'd be a good or a bad fit and didn't have enough data to make a decision. After over 9 hours of interviewing, that's pretty frustrating to hear. I don't mind being rejected, but don't say you don't have enough data after wasting over 9 hours of my time.
