Jane Street

There was a bunch of challenging mathematical questions, including probabilities. The interview did not allow any scratch paper, and rather expected me to show how I interpreted the question and how I will solve the problem.

Lasted several hours. They use two interviewers for each sub-session; one taking the lead and the other mostly observing. The questions were less focused on pure algorithms, instead building up to a more complete program.

I applied online. I submitted the CV and was asked to take the interview a week later. The interview process was great. I had to collaboratively solve a problem with the interviewer who was an engineer at Jane Street having the same role.
