Pros: One of my favorite things about working at Jump Trading was this pervading sense that they regard their people as their most valuable assets and that they go to great lengths to make sure that their potential is maximized and that they're valued. This doesn't mean that you'll get to work on whatever you want to work on, but I found that there was a strong culture of valuing contribution and excellence. I was really surprised by the culture of friendship there. I really enjoyed some of the people that I worked with. Even as I respected their technical ability, on Friday nights I also enjoyed their company. Compensation was incredible. I might complain about having to pay taxes on my housing subsidy, but they've blown every other offer I've gotten out of the water. Perks included: * Friday Lunch * Delicious snacks I see complaints about the variety, but the quality is much better than many other companies. The setup you got if working in Chicago was amazing. I loved my dual 4K setup and wouldn't change anything about the environment.

Cons: Work week was decent. No hour tracking for me, and I had control over how much I worked. There's a focus on accomplishment regardless of hours worked, whether that be over or under. I tended to go beyond what I needed (not by much) because I enjoyed doing it, but I felt that the goals were very manageable in a 40-hour work week.

Pros: Smart people, amazing infrastructure, and a good environment. Some of the best hardware/software stacks, a focus on optimization and speed, and great engineers.

Cons: I have no cons at this time.

Pros: Many smart people. Good compensation.

Cons: Politics becomes more and more common.
