Please do not join the Big Data/Hadoop team. The environment is so negative that from the first day, you may feel like leaving.
People join because of the Juniper brand, but in the Big Data team, it's purely resource exploitation.
None of the managers know how to manage the team but know very well how to do micromanagement.
There are very unrealistic timelines and no respect towards the resource will be shown by asking if they are comfortable with the timelines. Top management involves itself in every small thing, as they have made the managers out in India into pseudo-managers.
There are no team-building or fun activities.
Your weekends will be taken for granted, and you may have to ask for leaves on weekends.
Good experience. Interviewers were very friendly and helpful. There were 2 rounds: one for Java and one for Python. They started with basic questions and then went on to ask about the architecture of the project that I worked upon.
The interview process was very good; the panel was good. They gave you time to think. All the rounds happened online for me in one go. The waiting time for a response was also less.
