Juniper does strive to hire the best people for a given job. I have seen fewer instances of favoritism being used in hiring. They reward their high-performing engineers very well in terms of bonus and salaries. Salaries are usually higher as compared to competitors, especially on the East Coast.
It is difficult to see your career grow. People tend to work for longer years, and the chance to move up is limited.
I suggest to the Senior that motivated engineers have a path to grow.
