One day, a written exam for Splunk appeared in my inbox. I like the Splunk app and its engineering, so I took the test and cleared it.

Later, I was called for a video round. I solved the problem given in the round, and still, I couldn't clear it. There was no response explaining why I didn't move to the next round from Karat.

The worst part of the process is that I didn't know which role the written test was for. Since it was for Splunk, I attended.

On the rejection email, I came to know it was for "Sr Software Engineer - Backend, Observability." What a pathetic situation for a candidate to learn the job title in the rejection email.

1. Three questions on improving the system. The interviewer was not clear why these three questions were asked. He just mentioned that I only had 10 minutes and should answer these questions.

Worst experience in the first 10 minutes.

Later, I solved the DS & Algo round but still got rejected. I really doubt if the interviewer was qualified to understand my code.
