Process

A recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn.

The whole interview process consisted of two rounds: a phone round and an onsite round.

Phone Round: This was a 1-hour round split into 30 minutes for Python and 30 minutes for SQL. The questions were not difficult if you've practiced some LeetCode questions from Google and Facebook.

Onsite Round: Currently, the onsite round is virtual. There were five rounds in this part of the interview:

  1. Hiring Manager Round: This involved general questions, such as "Why LinkedIn?"
  2. Data Manipulation: These were simple SQL questions. However, it's advised to practice writing similar SQL queries in Python.
  3. Data Architecture/Data Modeling: The question felt more like an ETL question rather than a data modeling one.
  4. Basic Statistics: These were straightforward probability-type questions.
  5. Algorithm: This round was similar to the data manipulation round. The CoderPad was not working properly, and the interviewer seemed unsure about the ongoing issues. The interviewer joined stating, "Let's start the data manipulation round," even though the round was scheduled for algorithms. I suspect there was an internal synchronization issue.
