I applied through LinkedIn and received a call from the recruiter. I had a phone interview, which I thought didn't go very well, but I still received an invitation for an onsite interview.
The onsite interview consisted of six rounds.
Both coding questions seemed easy. However, for one of the coding rounds, it took me some time to come up with a solution, and I was not able to complete all the requirements of the coding exercise. I thought LinkedIn values your thought process and how you arrive at the solution. They only look to see if you get the perfect answer on the first try, which is strange, because no one who tries to solve a coding problem for the first time can solve it perfectly unless they have already solved it previously.
One of the coding interviewers had a heavy accent, and I was not able to completely understand him. He seemed hostile when I asked him to repeat. But I managed to complete that round of coding, and he seemed satisfied with my solution at the end of it.
The design questions were very vague, and unless you mention the specific points the interviewer has in mind, you will probably fail that round too.
A couple of days later, the recruiter informed me that I did not make it.
