Someone from the Bangalore team interviewed me for the first round. Following that, there were four technical and three non-technical interviews conducted by the US team.

I cleared all the rounds and was asked to come for an onsite interview. The HR informed me that everything was positive up to that point, and the only remaining formality was to meet the Bangalore team for non-technical interviews.

The interviews went well, and I left their office with a positive impression. However, a few days later, the HR sent an email stating that I was not shortlisted.

I was surprised and pointed out that her previous assessment had been positive. She explained that the team had chosen another candidate they were interviewing. The Head of HR stated that this situation was not handled correctly and had escalated the issue to management, emphasizing that it doesn't make sense to reject a candidate simply because someone else was found later in the process.

I am still awaiting a call from the Head of HR to inform me about the outcome of the escalation. At the very least, an apology is owed.
