I applied online and had a 1-hour phone interview. I was asked to code on CollabEdit. The questions were of average difficulty and easy to code. I finished coding three questions in 20-30 minutes, and the interviewer ran out of questions. We then discussed the position's requirements.
However, I was rejected within two days, despite performing very well in the interview and coding all questions correctly, which the interviewer even confirmed. I received the rejection because I could not ask more detailed questions to the interviewer and directly jumped to coding.
This is what I did not like. The interviewer tested my code with his inputs and could not find any bugs, but he was still not happy with me and eventually rejected me because of his ego. I would not have expected this from LinkedIn.
