Good company, bad engineering practices
Benefits, culture & values, people, great offices, pay is good.
Great company when I started, but slowly descended to a very mediocre tech company to work for (see cons).
New eng best practices ruined the org. Deadlines don’t move anymore at all; everyone is working insane hours to meet mgmt needs. Eng tooling is incredibly mediocre. Promotions are insanely hard to get and can be blocked due to non-merit based matters (e.g., lack of promo budget, even if the person is "promotable"). Very little balance in processes; either none at all or WAY too much. Return to office policy was a huge walkback from what the CEO was saying a few years back, and made no sense, as the company was doing well.
Revert RTO and new engineering best practices.
