Engineers have a significant impact on product directions.
Engineers are not always good at understanding markets and designing products. Consequently, a lot of products are merely esoteric, and their value propositions are questionable.
Live up to your hype! There is plenty of talk about enabling access to economic opportunities, but I hardly see LinkedIn used outside of the tech world and a few other industries with big players.
You need to work with industry experts, economists, and educationalists – to name a few – to make your vision a reality.
