Process

It was not good at all.

  1. Got a call from HR and discussed 10-15 minutes. She told me that someone would connect me via mail for the next steps. On that call, I mentioned clearly that I would need H1B sponsorship.

  2. Got the mail for the next step to verify if I am eligible for visa sponsorship. I submitted this form and got a reply that things look good and we will sponsor you.

  3. Scheduled an interview with the Hiring Manager and one more interviewer. I got an update after a month about the next round after I followed up for an update.

HERE: Before starting the 2nd round, I asked HR about a tentative start date so that I can begin with my EAD process. But she refused to answer and said, "Let's finish this round, then we will discuss this."

  1. The second round was done, and the interview went well. Again, I had to wait for weeks, then after following up, I got the reply that I had cleared my 2nd round.

  2. I got a call from HR, and she told me that Lowe's will not be able to sponsor me now or ever because "recently they had some issues with diversity and inclusivity at the workplace," so they don't want to hire who will need H1B. And I said I was fine with this. I started doubting when she asked me to write a mail to her and confirm that I would not ask for visa sponsorship, and I confirmed that Lowe's will not provide me with any sponsorship and I wish to continue forward.

  3. Got the managerial round and did well. The manager was an amazing guy, we had a good discussion.

  4. Got a call from the same HR stating that she has got a good and very positive response from the manager. But she's not sure if I will get the approval for the offer.

In this entire process, I performed well and I provided all the details and information required or needed for my application and interview process. I tried to ask about the tentative start date twice but got the same response: "Let's finish this round, then we will discuss."

To get the final update from HR, I asked her, and she said, "I don't think we will go ahead with you."

At every stage of this interview process/experience, the HR was not at all decisive or definite with her answers. And I lost the chance.
