Process

The interview process was good. There were 4 rounds: rounds 1 and 2 were technical rounds. Round 3 was a techno-managerial round with technical discussions, and round 4 was a Director round.

Until round 3, everything went smoothly. I had very good discussions related to technical aspects like Java, design patterns, concepts, LLD, and high-level design concepts.

For round 4, I expected it to be more of a managerial round, as it was the last round and with the Director. However, that Director was such a rude person. He did not even ask my name or introduce himself. At this level, we need to be calm and discuss more about the process.

He directly started with Java questions, then Spring, Spring Boot, and microservices from here and there. He did not even ask about the tech stack I have used in my current project.

With very rude behavior, he was questioning everything he might have heard. He acted more like a fresher trying to act as a developer while being at a Director level. He should have assessed the candidate's behavior and eagerness to learn.

Such a bad interview experience at this level. How did this company hire him as a Director? He should be at a developer or entry-level job, lacking any managerial or director-level experience.

It totally sucked and was a time waste; the whole process took 2 weeks. I was hoping for a positive outcome, but it seems the Director might have had other plans, perhaps to hire someone from his family.

Later, I checked him on LinkedIn and found him as expected.

There is more to write about the experience and about that jerk, but I hope you understand the situation I wanted to present.

All the best!
