Pros

Some good people around, but most are egotistical snobs.

Cons

Most people are snobbish; the culture runs from top to bottom.

  • No performance reviews.
  • No salary increase.
  • No bonus component.
  • New hires earning far more than loyal employees.
  • Employees are forced to work long hours and weekends.
  • No professional/personal growth, except for some teams on the mechanical side.
  • Arrogant about the product and their style of work.

They hire:

  1. College graduates.
  2. Engineers from the East Coast looking for better pay.
  3. Incompetent leads/managers who cannot find another job in tech in the Bay Area.
  4. Former Tesla employees who are paid the big bucks.
Advice to Management

There are many great products in the market. Everybody is building something special.

There is nothing unique about what you are building.

Take care of your employees. If you are not able to retain your hardworking employees, building this product will not become a reality.
