The Worst Interview Experience I Had

The HR call and the phone interviews went well. Then the recruiter contacted me to schedule an onsite interview.

This step made me feel that they were really disorganized. The recruiter sent me an email with no details on the onsite and asked me to enter my availabilities. I had to ask them to send me the interview details for the onsite interview.

I responded quickly with my availabilities but didn't get anything back from the recruiter after two days. I reached out to ask if there were any updates. The recruiter politely responded that they were working on it because my interview was back on the queue.

Sure. Then I waited for another few days and received an email from the recruiter asking, "Hey, can you reserve November 13th for us?" I responded yes immediately.

After that email, there was no response at all from the recruiter since then. I tried to reach out to the recruiter again asking for a confirmation, but that person just never responded. It has been about two weeks.

During that time, I was preparing for their interview, and they wasted so much of my time.

Lyft recruiters, please respect interviewees. If there are any headcount changes, you need to let us know instead of letting people wait and rejecting people silently. There are many companies out there doing much better than you.

I will never interview with Lyft in the future, and I will share my story with all my software engineer friends.
