Applications Support Engineer Interview Experience - Baltimore, Maryland

October 1, 2015
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

I applied for the position via an on-campus Career Fair and was contacted after nearly a month. The process consisted of three steps:

  • A coding challenge on HackerRank.
  • A video recording for HR questions.
  • A phone technical interview.

The coding challenge was simple, requiring answers to small questions in two languages of my choice: Java and Python. Several other languages were available, such as MATLAB and R.

The second step involved installing browser-based recording plugins and answering pre-recorded questions.

The third step was a phone technical interview where I again had to select two languages and a focus area. I chose Java, Python, and Object-Oriented Concepts. The interview went well, but I received a negative response.
