The interview process went pretty smoothly. After the first phone round, I was called onsite. I did well there. HR sent me an email stating they liked my performance in the interview and would like to proceed with the formalities.
However, after that, they never contacted me. I emailed them after a week asking for my offer letter. The HR replied that the position had been given to someone else and they would not be proceeding with my application.
I believe this was rude on their part, first saying they would proceed and then rejecting me for the position. I had rejected another job offer because of Mathworks, and now I won't even get this one. This was the most unprofessional behavior I have ever seen from a large and reputed organization like Mathworks.
