Process

I attended a virtual career fair and received a follow-up requesting me to schedule an initial HR interview. This interview consisted of all the same HR questions that are mentioned here. Following that, I was scheduled for a technical interview three weeks later.

I would suggest going through each and every question here; do not skip any. I know it's difficult because there are so many, but do your best to cover the maximum.

Given below are the questions I remember being asked:

  • calloc and malloc
  • == and .equals
  • Constructors
  • JVM and Java
  • Abstract classes and interfaces
  • Garbage collection in Java
  • Binary and unary operators
  • Default methods in a C++ class
  • Connected graphs
  • What is NFA and DFA?
  • Can all NFAs be converted to DFAs?
  • #include " " and #include < > differences
  • Explain each keyword in public static void main()
  • A (int (B union C))
  • A 4-faced die and a 6-faced die: What is the probability that when rolled, the same number appears on both?
  • Implement a queue using a stack
  • AP nth term
  • Largest number an integer can represent
  • Some code snippets asking me to explain their functionality
  • Inline functions and macros
  • In a class of 40 people, 24 took mathematics and 12 took both mathematics and English. If everyone in the class takes at least one course, how many people take English alone?
  • Generics in Java
  • Questions regarding complexity calculations
  • What does stdio.h contain?

I was also given many code snippets in C, C++, and Java and asked to explain their output.

With this interview preparation, I brushed up on the basics of various languages. This was a valuable takeaway.

Questions

Explain how you implement a queue using stacks.
