Process
I applied online through their website and received an email for an HR interview a few days later. It was a video interview, and I could take it anytime within the next couple of weeks.
The interview was recorded, and I was asked five questions. I was given 20 seconds to prepare my answer and 2 minutes to record it immediately afterward.
Questions:
- Why do you want to be a part of the EDG program?
- What qualities and skills make you perfect for the job?
- Give an example of a time you worked on multiple projects and how did you approach it?
- What is your cumulative GPA?
- F-1 OPT start date and work authorization in the USA?
I received another email a couple of days later for the next phone interview. I am waiting for the result of that one.

Pros: Excellent colleagues at the team level, and lots of great team leads.
My team was easily the best part of my time at MW.
Great WLB.
The offices are very nice if you're fond of going in.
Work is interesting if you're on a specialized team or if you're lucky enough to get to work with newer tech.
Stakeholder dividend is nice, but equity would be nicer.
Cons: Core values applied on a "rules for thee, not for me" basis by upper management.
Despite proclaiming a "rational workplace," the rank and file were never given any reasoning for why they are required to work in the office while plenty of senior leaders have decided they themselves get to work fully remotely.
Career progression is slow, based largely on tenure rather than performance.
Pay could be better. Rent is rising faster than compensation in Massachusetts.
Lots of teams are stuck on older tech because "that's how it has always been done; it's too hard to change things now."

EDG is terrible

Pros: The offices are very nice.
Cons: Job descriptions are deceiving for EDG. EDG is actually just a technical support job with very little opportunity for engineering work.
Technical support in EDG causes immense anxiety because of the non-stop phone calls with incredibly demanding clients.
Very bad management in EDG. They lie and actively prevent employees from moving out of the program.
The rest of the company uses members of EDG for free work without allowing EDG members to join engineering teams.
EDG is a cesspool for new college graduates and will waste your time.
