I had a hiring manager call me for HR and technical phone interviews. This was followed by another phone interview by HR. I was then invited for an onsite interview.

Fifteen days after the onsite interview (which included a 45-minute presentation followed by 5 rounds of interviews), they contacted me. They stated that they received positive feedback, but my background was not a perfect match. Therefore, they wanted to consider me for the same position under another manager.

This was followed by a technical phone interview in C & C++.

Four days later, I was interviewed for another position, one that I was not familiar with.

Four days after that, they emailed me saying that the first position was filled internally and that I didn't fit the background for the second position.

In MATLAB, understand the difference between functions and scripts, the try-catch function, and optimization techniques like vectorization and zero initialization. These are basic questions often found in Application Support Engineer interview reviews on Glassdoor.

In C & C++, be prepared for questions on the difference between macros and functions, data structures and algorithms, and OOP concepts such as abstract classes, virtual functions, and static functions.

One interviewer asked me questions related to a presentation I did for an onsite interview. The presentation featured a project in image processing, and I was asked why I used certain techniques. The interviewer also inquired about video processing and object tracking.
