I applied online and received an invitation to complete the HackerRank online coding assessment within a week. The assessment included a mandatory math section, which needed to be completed in 15-20 minutes. The questions covered basic math and logic, such as probability.
Next, I had to choose two programming languages from a given set, with 30 minutes allocated for each section. I chose Java and Python. The questions comprised multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and two coding questions for each language. The MCQs were based on object-oriented design concepts in both Java and Python, as well as identifying errors in code and predicting their output.
Overall, the assessment was relatively easy. The coding questions focused on various algorithms and data structures.
Two days after submitting the code, I received an invitation to schedule an appointment for the next round of the interview process.
