Process
The interview process was fairly smooth.
I had two rounds of technical interviews:
- One was a coding interview (1 hour, relatively easy).
- One was a design/algorithms interview (1 hour, slightly hard).
There was also one short non-technical interview for why I wanted to work in the particular role.
Questions
I was asked relatively open-ended questions related to data structures and various complexity-related tradeoffs.

Pros: MathWorks provides interesting work, good benefits, and a nice working environment. I did get the sense that the company takes care of its employees.
Cons: With certain products and projects, the pace will feel quite slow for a tech company.
Transitioning teams is difficult but not unheard of.
